TRYONE PALACE PIGGIN AND GRINNIN BBQ AND BLUEGRASS EVENT (POV ONLY!) (9/2)

The September 2nd event, Piggin’ & Grinnin’ Tryon Palace is having a large BBQ and Bluegrass concert event and is looking for volunteers. Below is the information regarding the event and the opportunities that are needed.
Piggin’ and Grinnin’: Celebrating BBQ and Bluegrass – Saturday, September 2, 2017 – 9:00 am – 10:00 pm
Bluegrass and folk bands from around North Carolina and across the country will come together for a celebration of food and music this September during the inaugural Piggin’ and Grinnin’ festival at Tryon Palace, North Carolina’s first capitol. Held on the picturesque Tryon Palace South Lawn, Piggin’ and Grinnin’ offers a full lineup of bands, including the Steep Canyon Rangers, Sierra Hull, Chatham County Line, Mountain Faith, Balsam Range, Blind Boy Paxton, Merchant’s Road, and Strung Together. Enjoy the tunes and the views with cold drinks, craft vendors, and a food truck rodeo with plenty of piggin’ going on.
Work two or more shifts this day and enjoy lunch and free all day access to the event.
10 volunteers needed each shift to assist bands and crew with load-in/out, where and when needed.
8:00 am – 12:30 pm
12:30 pm – 5:00 pm
5:00 pm – Close (approximately 10:00 pm)
VENDOR SET UP
2 volunteers needed each shift to assist vendors with load in and set up
7:00 am – 9:00 am
RETAIL VENDOR STRIKE
4 volunteers needed to assist vendors with strike and load out
4:30 pm – 7:00 pm
6 volunteers per shift need to assist where needed event-wide.
10:00 am – 2:00 pm 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm 6:00 pm – Close (approx. 10:00 pm
Please use me as the POC if needed. I need to know the names at least one week prior to the event for meals and complimentary pass.
